A stale tale, the story begins with Cauvery (priyamani), sister of the tough police commissioner Srihari Prasad (srihari). She comes across an IPS aspirant Kitty (sreenagara) at a chess match and they become friends. Meanwhile, Srihari Prasad begins to suspect his sister and thinks Kitty is Cauvery's boyfriend. Actually, Cauvery is in love with another guy and she wants to get married to him at the temple town of Kukke. How Kitty manages to clear the confusion of Srihari Prasad and what happens after that forms the rest of the story.
